The Peoples Democratic Party Caucus in the Bauchi State House of Assembly has condemned the terrorism financing allegation made against Governor Bala Mohammed, describing it as baseless and without factual backing.
The caucus, led by the Speaker of the House Abubakar Sulaiman said the allegation lacks credible evidence and should be ignored by members of the public.
According to the lawmakers, the claim is a deliberate attempt to tanish the image of the Governor and distract attention from the administration’s ongoing developmental programmes across the state.
Abubakar Sulaiman reaffirmed the caucus’ confidence in the governor’s leadership, noting that Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently shown commitment to peace, security and good governance in Bauchi State.
The PDP lawmakers also declared their full and unwavering support for the governor, pledging continued legislative backing to ensure the successful implementation of policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of people in the state.
They called on residents of Bauchi State to remain calm and focused, urging them not to be misled by what they described as unfounded allegations.
