The newly appointed General Manager of Yankari Express Corporation, Engineer Iliyasu Sulaiman has assumed duty with a call on staff particularly drivers to ensure safety of passengers while driving.
Yankari Express is the Transport arm of the Bauchi State government that handle Commercial travel across various routes in the country.
A statement by the Overseeing Information and Public Relations Officer of the Corporation Jalaludeen Usman says Engineer Iliyasu Sulaiman takes over from Engineer Babaji Isa.
The statement says the new GM called on all workers of Yankari Express to support him to deliver on the mandate given to him by the State Government.
“I will make sure we take Yankari to greater heights. This Corporation is very important to the people of Bauchi State and we must work together as a team to improve our services,” he said.
According to the statement, Engineer Sulaiman who charged the drivers of the Corporation to always drive carefully, expressed appreciation to the State Ministry of Works and Transport for finding him worthy of the appointment.
“The safety of our passengers is paramount. We must ensure that every journey ends safely,” he added.
It further notes the staff readiness to work with the new General Manager towards repositioning the Corporation for better service delivery.
