The newly appointed Interim Sole Administrator of Wikki Tourists Football Club FC of Bauchi, Haruna Bako, has paid a maiden visit to the club’s training ground as part of efforts to familiarise himself with the team and its operations.

Haruna Bako was appointed following the sacking of the Management committee of the club by the state Government after a disappointing performance in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL season, which lead to its relegation in the Nigeria National League NNL.

During the visit, the administrator met with players, technical crew members, and other staff of the club, where he expressed commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to move the team forward and return the team to the Nigerian Premier League.

He used the opportunity to encourage the players to remain dedicated, disciplined, and focused on the goal of achieving success for the club.

Bako who emphasised the importance of teamwork and professionalism both on and off the pitch, also assured the technical team and staff of his readiness to provide the needed support for the club to achieve its objectives.

The Interim Sole Administrator commended the efforts of the players and coaches, urging them to continue giving their best as they represent the pride of Bauchi State in Nigerian football.

Haruna Bako thanked the Bauchi state Governor for entrusting him with task and assured to discharge his responsibilities diligently.

Also Speaking, the New Technical Adviser of the Club Bala Abubakar Muhammed welcomed the new administrator, expressing willingness to cooperate and contribute to the growth and success of Wikki Tourists.

On his part, the Team Captain Wikki FC Yusuf Muhammad popularly known as chocho said the visit provided an opportunity for the new management and players to establish a close relationship and understand areas requiring attention as the club prepares for the upcoming second division Nigerian National League NNL, which will hopefully pave way for their return to the NPFL.

Football lovers in the state believe that the engagement marks the beginning of a new chapter for Wikki Tourists, with expectations that the new leadership under Haruna Bako will bring renewed energy, stability, and progress to the Bauchi-based football club after its relegated from the NPFL.
