The newly appointed Bauchi State Commissioner of Education, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, has encouraged school administrators to always communicate their concerns and challenges to the Ministry of Education for prompt attention.

A statement by the Information and Public Relations Officer, ministry of Education Jalaludeen Usman says the commissioner gave the advice during an unscheduled visit to some selected public schools across the state to assess the conditions of teaching and learning.

The statement says Abdulkadir Ibrahim explained that the inspection was aimed at seeing firsthand the situation in schools and identifying areas that require improvement.

“We came to see firsthand the condition of our schools and identify areas where we can improve. We also checked the food being served to the students, and I am satisfied with what was provided,” he says.

According to the statement, the visit also provided the opportunity to interact with school authorities, observe facilities available to students and check the quality of food being served, expressing satisfaction with what was provided.

“Where there is a need for improvement, we will certainly take action. I encourage you to write to us and present your concerns so that we can look into them,” he adds.

While at Government Girls’ College Bauchi, the Principal, Hajiya Hadiza Sagir appreciated the Commissioner for the visit, describing it as a demonstration of the present administration’s commitment under Governor Bala Mohammed towards education development.

“We are happy to receive you in our school. This shows that you have us in mind, and we will continue to support the ministry in all aspects,” she says.
