Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has sworn in Hajiya Hadiza Abdulkadir Kango as Commissioner Ministry of Higher Education and Regional Integration, replacing Dr. Lydia Haruna Tsammani who has redeployed to the Ministry of Women Affairs.

Radio Nigeria reports that the development followed a minor cabinet reshuffle after the governor relieved Hajiya Zainab Babantakko of her appointment as Commissioner, Ministry of Women Affairs and Child Development.

Similarly, the governor appointed Jummai Salamatu Abubakar as Chairperson Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, Iliya Isah as Executive Chairman of Dambam Local Government.

Others include Babaji Idris Shehu as Auditor General for Local Governments and Abubakar Usman Misau who was appointed as Permanent Commissioner Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission.

In his address after the oath of office and allegiance, Governor Bala Mohammed charged the new officials to acquaint themselves with the administration’s policy direction and work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, the permanent commissioner of the state independent electoral commission Abubakar Usman Misau expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and promised to justify the confidence reposed in the.
