The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, in affiliation with the University of Maiduguri, UniMaid has matriculated 82 students into its degree programmes across five courses.

The first affiliated courses are BSc Mass Communication, BSc Accountancy, BSc Public Administration, BSc Business Administration and BSc Banking and Finance respectively.

Speaking during the matriculation ceremony held at the polytechnic’s 510 lecture hall, the Vice Chancellor of University of Maiduguri Professor Muhammad Laminu Mele charged the new intakes to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations guiding the teo institutions to enable them achieve the set objectives.

Professor Muhammad Mele represented by the University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Professor Muhammad Waziri warned them against breaching the peaceful atmosphere of the polytechnic, noting that anyone caught will face the consequences.

The Vice chancellor assured that the University and its affiliated institutions would continue to provide easy access to higher and quality education to the teaming populace across the country.

In a remark, the Rector of the Polytechnic Alhaji Sani Usman said the institution sought the affiliations programme to pursue academic excellence and give access to students who cannot afford to pursue such courses at far distance.

Alhaji Sani Usman represented by the Deputy Rector Dr. Dalhatu Saidu commended the University of Maiduguri for providing a conductive learning environment and expanding its reach to different higher institutions of learning in the country.

He therefore, advised the newly matriculated students to pursue learning with vigor, interact freely with the polytechnic staff, and stay vigilant to achieve the desired objectives.
