The Parent Teachers Association of Nigeria PTAN, Bauchi State chapter has pledged continued to support to the State Government in its efforts to improve the education sector in the state.
The Secretary of the Association, Danjuma Maigari, who made the pledge when he led a delegation to the State Commissioner of Education, Abdulkadir Ibrahim said the visit was intended to strengthen collaboration between parents and the Ministry in addressing challenges facing the sector.
A statement by the Information and Public Relations Officer of the ministry Jalaludeen Usman says Maigari congratulated the commissioner on his appointment and expressed the association’s readiness to partner the ministry in advancing educational development across the state.
“We are here as key stakeholders to congratulate you on your appointment and to discuss ways we can work hand in hand to uplift the education sector in Bauchi State,” he says.
It quotes the Commissioner, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, appreciating the association for the visit and assured them of the ministry’s willingness to work closely with parents and other stakeholders to achieve meaningful progress in the sector.
“As long as I remain the Commissioner for Education, you will always have my support. There is no way we can succeed without the support of parents—whether financially or through ideas and suggestions,” he states.
It notes that the collaborative approach is in line with the directive of the State Governor, Bala Mohammed, mandatinh the ministry to involve all relevant stakeholders in the ongoing efforts to transform education in the state.
