The Bauchi State Police Command has reiterated commitment to protecting all schools across the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the command SP Nafiu Habib stated this during a Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauchi audience participatory programme Ina Muka Dosa.
SP Nafiu Habib said the State Commissioner of Police CP Sani Omolori Aliyu has directed all his Divisional Police Officers DPOs and Area Commanders ACs, to oversee the security and safety of schools under their jurisdiction ahead of 5th January schools resumption.
He said plans are underway to commence sensitisation campaign in all tertiary institutions against cultism and other social vices with a view to addressing violence among the students.
The Police Public Relations Officer also urged people of the state to report any suspicious movement to police authorities nearby or call the police emergency response number 08036392107 for prompt action.
Speaking on his familiarisation visit to Radio Nigeria Globe fm Bauchi management, the police public relations officer SP Nafiu Habib aknowledge the performance of the Globe fm Bauchi in enlightening the Public on the need to live peacefully with one another.
He also pleged the existing cordial working relationship between the security agencies and the radio Nigeria Globe fm Bauchi, especially on their professional broadcasting services in public sensitisation on security issues.
He further, explained that the Radio Nigeria Globe fm and the State command of the NPF are both working to federal government of Nigeria assuring that the two bodies would remained in good partnership towards achieving their set objectives especially in the areas of peace promotion and unity among citizens of the nation.
SP Habib promised to continue partnering with Globe fm in the fight against social vices in the society, assuring that the command’s doors were open for public input on their jobs and other security advices.
