Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State says no amount of pressure will force him to leave the opposition Peoples Democratic Party for the ruling All Progressives Congress at any time.

He was reacting to the arrest and prosecution of the State Commissioner of Finance, Yakubu Adamu by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged money laundering and terrorism offences.

Speaking after receiving ambassadorial awards of safety and management at the Government House Bauchi, the Governor expressed disappointment over being mentioned in court proceedings despite constitutionally guaranteed immunity under law.

He described it as unfair to link his administration which he said delivered development projects and improved security with what he called baseless allegations aimed at political intimidation and pressure.

Governor Bala Mohammed insisted his focus remains governance and service delivery, assuring residents that his administration will continue pursuing peace, development and stability across Bauchi State despite ongoing political distractions.
