Members of the association of Nigeria Imams has converge on Bauchi to pray for security and socio economic development of the country as well fashion out ways for the unity among members of the association in the country.
Assistant Secretary General of the association, Imam Yusuf Abdullahi Yusuf explained that part mission of the association is to reunite Imams of Bauchi in order to addressing social and economic issues facing the nation.
Yusuf Abdullahi who is also the chief Imam of University of Jos Juma’at Mosque said the association is committed to train Imams to more on issues affecting the society in their sermons rather than personal attacks.
Earlier,the Deputy chairman of the association,the Sarkin Malaman Adamawa Safisyanu Imam said the association was established with the aim of bringing together Imams irrespective of their sects in order to speak with one voice and form a common front .
Safisyanu Imam said Bauchi state is the fifth state visited by the association among thirty six states of the federation.
Also speaking,the chief Imam of Bauchi central Mosque Imam Bala Ahmed BabaInna who commended the effort of the association emphasized the Prayer has become on the need for Muslims to farvently pray for peace and unity of the country.
Imams of Juma’at Mosques from different Islamic sects attended the prayer session.
