The newly turbaned District Heads in Toro Emirate have been urged to uphold fairness and justice while discharging their duties.
The Emir of Toro Alhaji Umaru Adamu made the call during the turbanning ceremony of five new District Heads recently appointed by Governor Bala Muhammad held at Toro Emir’s palace.
Alhaji Umaru Adamu advised the new District Heads to operate strictly within the boundary of the law establishing them, stating that their appointment requires dedication, fairness and impartiality.
He further appealed to Governor Bala Mohammed to construct the road from Ribina to Babajayi to improve business activities in the areas.
In a remark, the State Governor Bala Mohammed appreciated the people of Toro Local government for their support and cooperation to the state government towards addressing security challenges.
Bala Mohammed represented by the State Commissioner of Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alhaji Isa Babayo Tilde reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing social amenities to the people of the area and the State as whole.
Speaking on behalf of the newly turbaned traditional leaders, the District Head of Tulai Alhaji Jafaru Idris assured to contribute positively towards the development of their domains and to serve as worthy ambassadors to the Emirate.
The newly turbaned District Heads included Alhaji Jafaru Idris as District Head of Tulai, Alhaji Aliyu Tukur District Head of Tilden Fulani, Alhaji Inuwa Muhammad Ahmad District Head of Toro, Alhaji Yakubu Muhammadu Sunusi District Head of Ribina, and Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Toro as the District Head of Gwalfada Kogin Sallah.
The event had in attendance family and friends, traditional leaders, Heads of security agencies, senior government officials among others.
