The Bauchi State Government has warned job applicants to be wary of fraudsters issuing fake appointment letters in the ongoing civil service recruitment exercise.
The State Head of Civil Service, Mohammed Sani Umar, Esq sounded the warning while featuring on Ina Muka Dosa, a Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauchi audience participatory programme describing the recruitment process as fully ICT-driven that leaves no room for manipulation.
Mohammed Sani Umar explained that Governor Bala Mohammed has emphasized the need for a credible and transparent recruitment exercise adding that successful applicants would be employed to fill 5,669 vacancies across 18 ministries, departments and agencies.
In separate contributions, the Director-General of the State Bureau for ICT and Digital Economy, Hayatuddeen Babama’aji, and the Director of Establishment in the Office of the Head of Service, Ismail Ibn Lumo Garam, disclosed that the screening exercises at all levels are expected to be concluded within three weeks.
According to them only successful candidates would be directed to print their appointment letters from the official recruitment website, warning applicants to disregard any letters obtained from unofficial sources.
Callers to the programme, including Sani Makanike of Kafin Madaki, Musa Dan’iya of Darazo, Nasiru Mai Shayi of Nasarawa, and Muhammad Gwaram, commended the state government for creating employment opportunities for unemployed graduates and called for fairness, and transparency throughout the recruitment process.
