The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, alongside Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, held a closed-door meeting with Governor Bala Mohammed in what appears to be a strategic move to woo him to the APC.

There are no clear details regarding their discussions, as journalists were not granted access to the meeting and no interviews were conducted afterward.

Reports indicate that Governor Bala Mohammed had earlier hosted a delegation from the African Democratic Congress ADC led by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

Briefing journalists after that meeting, Babachir Lawal said they were in Bauchi at the instance of the ADC National Chairman, Senator David Mark, to invite Governor Bala Mohammed to join forces with the party ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Governor Bala Mohammed has assured that he will make a public declaration on his final decision on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
