The Old Students Association of Government Day Secondary School Kofar Wambai Class of 2002, has distributed money for Sallah clothes to the children of their late classmates to enable them celebrate Sallah with joy.

Speaking during the distribution at the school premises, the Deputy Chairman of the Association Malam Aminu Usman said the gesture is aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the benefiting families.

Malam Aminu Usman explained that the 2002 set has been raising money from the class members to embark on such distribution exercises since 2009.

He said this year about fifty seven orphans benefited from the distribution with each getting ten thousand naira while others went home with ready made Sallah clothes.

In a remark, a Member of the Distribution Committee Imam Aminu Ahmad Nai’bi urged the children of their late classmates to concentrate on seeking western and Islamic education as well as engage in entrepreneurial activities to become useful members of the society.

Imam Aminu Ahmad Nai’bi who use the medium to thank the members of the association for their continued support to the families of late classmates and pray Allah to rewards them with jannatul Firdaus.

Some of the beneficiaries spoken to the radio Nigeria Globe fm Bauchi expressed happeness for the gesture and promise to use the money accordingly.
