Bauchi State House of Assembly’s Committee for local government and chieftaincy affairs has reaffirmed its readiness to strengthen collaborations and maintain a good working relationship with all the twenty local government councils of the state.
The Chairman of the committee Bala Abdullahi Dan disclosed during the continuation of the committee’s oversight visit and project inspection in Darazo and Dambam local government areas.

Bala Dan explained that the priority of the committee is to ensure that people are adequately informed and comfort with the government policies and programmes as well as ensuring good working environment at the grassroots.
He applauded the chairmen saying the committee has noticed a symbiotic relationship between the council’s executives, councillors and civil servants urging them to maintain the move.
Speaking during the visit, the exercutive Chairman Darazo Local Government Samaila Yau Sade said the visit is timely as the council’s primary responsibility is to have an open door policy towards addressing challenges at the local levels, stressed the need for the collaboration with the committee to achieve the desired objectives. 
On his remarks the executive chairman Dambam local government Yakubu Garba Tela commended the committee embarked on the oversight function to assess various local governments and their operations, adding that there is a smooth relationship between the local council and the legislatives.
