The Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has reiterated commitment to the construction of roads across the state to reduce accidents.
Bala Mohammed stated this during the Federal Road Safety Corps Zone 12 3rd quarter retreat for commanding officers and special Coordinators held in Bauchi.
Represented by his Special Adviser on Security Matters Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police DIG Nuruddeen Danlami, Bala Mohammed said his administration is committed to the networking of the state with roads to reduce accidents caused by bad road.
He said his administration is working with federal road safety and corps to ensure that the people of the state are law abiding citizens on the use of roads.
In a remark, the Northeast Zonal Coordinator of the FRSC AMC Leye Adegboyega urged the motorist to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations, and avoid taking hard drugs while driving.
He commended the present administration in the state for constructing roads, noting that availability of access roads play a vital role in the reduction of road accidents.
On his part, the Emir of Bununu Alhaji Jibrin Hassan emphasized the importance of sensitization campaign to motorists through visitation of motor parks and the media.
Similarly, the FRSC has launched a safety chronicle magazine for zone 12 Bauchi which contains vital information on its activities and rules guiding road users.
