The Bauchi State Branch of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, has started submitting its 2026 Work Plan for implementation in all the twenty Emirate Councils across the State.

The Work Plan is aimed at enhancing economic and social wellbeing of citizens through sensitization campaign on the need for sustainable peace, improve agricultural value chain, entrepreneurship and moon sighting.

The Emir of Lere and State Chairman of the JNI, Alhaji Nura Adamu Jumba announced this when he paid a solidarity visit to the Emirs of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruk the second, Jama’are, Alhaji Muhammadu Wabi and that of Ningi, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya.

Alhaji Nura Adamu Jumba explained that developing the Work Plan became imperative considering the level of insecurity in some parts of the country, post harvest loses and the high rate of unemployment among the youth.

He called on the Emirs to carefully study the Work Plan and make recommendations where necessary.

On the essence of the visit, the Emir of Lere, explained that the visit was to show solidarity and respect to the first class Emirs and commended Governor Bala Muhammad led administration for initiating traditional institutions reform in the state.

Alhaji Nura Adamu Jumba who described the reform as timely considering the rapid population growth noted that the initiative would no doubt ease the implementation of policies and programmes as well as bring people closer to government.

Responding, the Emirs of Katagum, Jama’are and Ningi, Alhaji Umar Faruk the second, Alhaji Muhammadu Wabi and Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya respectively commended the Emir of Lere for the visit and promised support towards successful implementation of the JNI Work Plan to achieve the desired objectives.
