The Global Fund/NEPWAN N-THRIP grant Implemented through Community base organization Women and Children Health Empowerment Foundation (WACHEF) has Presented HIV Prevention Commodities to ART Clinic of Specialist Hospital Bauchi as part of Measures to tackle the spread of the disease.
Speaking during the Presentation the Bauchi State Coordinator of the project Abdullahi Ibrahim Said the Commodity was donated by the Bauchi State Agency for the Control of HIV and AIDs, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Malaria BACATMA to address the shortage of the commodity at the ART Clinic of the Hospital.
Abdullahi Ibrahim explain that the essence of the visit is to seek for more areas of Collaboration and identify issues that hinder effective service delivery.
” Advocacy visit is Part of the mandate of the project to identify and bridge gaps that may hinder access to healthcare service delivery”
He assured that, the project would request audience with the Hospital management on some challenges that affect the Clinic, with a view to addressing them for efficient service delivery to HIV and AIDs Clients.
In a remark the State Programme Officer of the Project Dauda Makkah appreciate the support and cooperation given to the CBOs officials working at the Hospital.
Mr Dauda Makkah appeal for optimum utilization of the commodities presented, as report is expected on the usages of the commodities to enable the project source for additional packs.
Responding the ART Clinic Coordinator, Specialist Hospital Bauchi, Hajiya Ummi Muhammad Commended the project for the gesture and assured of full utilization of the commodity for the purpose the were given for.
Hajiya Ummi Muhammad Said the Clinic is facing challenge of relocation to a far Healthcare facility due to ongoing renovation of the Specialist Hospital Bauchi.
She appealed for the intervention of the project, to enable the ART Clinic provided with office space within the specialist Hospital premises for easy and seamless service delivery to HIV and AIDs Clients.
