The Federal Government College, FGC Azare Old Students Association, Class of 2002, has donated two 5,000-litre overhead water tanks and two solar-powered lights to support students and improve learning conditions.
Presenting the items during the association’s first reunion at the college, Chairman of the 2002 Set, Malam Umar Udubo said the donation was aimed at addressing water and power challenges.
Malam Umar Udubo explained that the association remained committed to supporting its alma mater in appreciation of the quality education, guidance and moral values received during their years.
He disclosed that other donated items included drugs and medical consumables for the college clinic sixty large food coolers for the dining hall, utensils, and other essential materials.
The chairman noted that the association has also rewarded some staff members for their outstanding contributions to academic excellence and pledged further support to deserving teachers and members.
According to him, plans were underway to provide financial assistance to widows and less privileged members of the set to ease economic difficulties and improve their welfare.
The Principal of FGC Azare Mr. Kaura Luka Musa, represented by Shinan Makama Dabu, commended the gesture, while former students described the reunion as memorable and unifying.
