The Fellowship of Christian Community Health Officers Students, FCCHOS of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH, Bauchi, has conducted its 2026 Sendforth ceremony for graduating Community Health students.
President of the Fellowship, John Emmanuel, said the event was organised to thank God, celebrate and pray for members who successfully completed their studies.
He urged graduates to apply the knowledge acquired and uphold professional ethics, stressing that healthcare serves communities irrespective of religion, ethnicity or geographical location.
Emmanuel also commended Muslim students for attending the ceremony, describing their participation as evidence of peaceful coexistence and religious harmony within the college.
The Provost of the college, Malam Yakubu Abdullahi Zakshi, represented by Malam Ahmad Umar said Community Health practitioners have chances of securing employment with WHO, UNICEF, multinational organisations and non-governmental organisations.
On his part, the Patron of the Fellowship and Head of Physiotherapy Department, ATBUTH, Dr Alexander Gordons, urged graduates to put God first in all activities and discharge their responsibilities with honesty and integrity.
The event featured prayers, Christian praise songs, cultural dances, certificate and gift presentations among others.
