The Bauchi state Council of Human Capital Development has organized a one day workshop for stakeholders from the education sector and Persons With Disability across 20 local government areas of the State.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of phase two of the workshop, Chairman of the Council Muhammad Auwal Jatau said the programme is centred on five major areas to include, education, health, labour participation, gender and issues related to persons with disability.
Muhammad Auwal Jatau who is also the state’s Deputy Governor noted that the council, being a strategic movement is committed to empower the participants among others to become productive members of the society and reduce the level of unemployment in the state.
He identified human resources enhancement as a catalyst of growth and development of the entire people of the State hence the need for all and sundry to support the initiative to succeed.

The State’s Deputy Governor said the state government is committed to carry everyone along as the programme will be launched in all the 20 local government areas to accommodate more people.
Also speaking, Focal Person of the programme Yahuza Adamu Haruna who appreciated the Deputy Governor for championing the course of the initiative enjoined the participants to take the message to their various organisations and localities considering their roles as ambassadors.

One of the participant spoken to, Azumi Abba from Itas Gadau local government area assured commitment to provide concrete data from the thematic areas of human development when the need arises.
The first phase of the workshop was recently organized for the critical stakeholders from the 20 LGAs for onward transmission to others at the grassroot levels.
