Bauchi Gov’t, NEDC, distributed food items to people living with special needs across 20 local government of the state.

The Bauchi State Agency for Persons with disability has distributed food items to beneficiaries across the twenty Local Government Areas of the state, with support from the North East Development Commission NEDC.
The items distributed include rice, sugar, palm oil, and female sanitary pads, aimed at supporting vulnerable groups, particularly during the festive period.
Speaking during the exercise at the agency’s premises, the Executive Secretary, Barrister Brisca Jaron Aeron, said the items were received from the NEDC two days before the Sallah celebration to cushion the effects of economic hardship on beneficiaries.
Barrister Aeron appreciated the Commission for its continued support towards improving the welfare of persons living with special needs in Bauchi State.
In their separate remarks, the State Chairman of the Joint Association of Persons Living with Special Needs, Malam Haruna Saidu Pali, and a representative of beneficiaries, Malam Abdullahi Jibrin, commended the gesture and called for fair distribution of the items to members across the state.
They used the medium to thank the state governor Bala Muhammad for his inclusive governance and appealed to the office of the state head of service to consider people living with special while screening is going on for the recruitment of civil servants in the state.
The distribution exercises has in attendance all levels leadership of the disable person association, security personnel, traditional leaders Among others.
