The Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 12, AIG Vungmoh Kwaimo has urged Organisations, Groups and Individuals to support the Nigeria Police with actionable information and other logistics support towards ensuring peace and security across the country.

AIG Vungmoh Kwaimo made the call while receiving a Civil Society Organisation Bauchi State Ambassadors of Peace who refurbished a Traffic Stand at Ahmadu Bello way in Bauchi metropolis.

“What you people have exhibited will go a long way at encouraging others to know that somebody must go down for others to go up, but you know action and reaction are equal and opposite forces and on behalf of the Inspector General of Police I want to thank you for this act”, Vungmoh said.

Vungmoh said Security is everyone’s business, hence the need for all and sundry to contribute in providing useful information and other support to enable the police ensure lasting peace and security in all nooks and crannies of the country.

He said the traffic stand which will benefit all road users in maintaining law and order, encouraged others to provide similar support to secure the roads and protect lives.

Also Speaking, the Public Relations Officer of the Zone SP Mohammed Jalige who said traffic wardens work in the scorching sun and in the rain just to ensure free flow of traffic, thanked the Ambassadors of Peace for the gesture which he said will have a far-reaching effect.

“This has come a long way in assisting the Nigerian Police Force in discharging its constitutional mandate if securing lives and property, we acknowledge what you have been doing including the ones you want us to know and even the 9nes you don’t want us to know”, SP Jalige thanked.

Earlier, the Bauchi State Coordinator Ambassadors of Peace, Mr Paul Daniel said the refurbishment is part of its corporate social responsibility to provide a befitting place of work for the wardens to ensure improved services to road users.

“We tagged it as an operation renovating all traffic police stand within our confines. So also we’re not only going to present it but look after it for one year if there’s any place that needs maintenance we’re going also going to do it. This moment we want to call the good citizens that the business of peace and security is mot meant for Nigerian Police alone”, Ambassador Paul noted.

Ambassador Paul further disclosed plans to refurbish other traffic stands across the metropolis and to ensure they are in good working condition for the next one year.
