The Northeast Zonal Director of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Malam Dahiru Garba has praised the leadership style of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Globe FM Chapel for priorising the welfare of its members.
He also called for stronger collaboration between the chapel, Globe FM management and the FRCN Northeast Zonal Office to drive development initiatives and improve working conditions of staff to promote productivity.
Malam Dahiru Garba who stated this while addressing members during a congress meeting held at Globe FM, commended the chapel’s concern for welfare and assuring continued support to promote professionalism within the union efforts.
The General Manager of Globe FM, Malam Alkasim Bala, described the chapel’s efforts as commendable and pledged cooperation toward realizing plans to build a hall that would serve as the union’s secretariat
Earlier, Chairman of the NUJ Globe FM Chapel, Ishaq Haruna Hardawa, appreciated management support and members’ confidence, promising to consolidate on the achievements being recorded.
In their separate remarks, the Northeast Zonal Secretary NUJ Abubakar Musa Waziri and the state auditor of the Union Isiyaka Ismail Wunti stressed the importance for strict adherence to the union’s guiding principles in all actions.
