1,600 Corp members deploy to Bauchi.

The Bauchi State Governor Bala Muhammad has reiterated his administration’s support to the National Youth Service Scheme towards promoting national unity and development.
The Governor stated this during swearing in ceremony of the 2026 Batch B stream ll corp members held at Malam YM Baba Permanent orientation camp Wailo in Ganjuwa Local government area of the State.
Bala Muhammad represented by the StateHhead of Service Muhammad Umar said his administration is committed to supporting the scheme in the area of welfare for the prospective corp members posted to the state.
He listed some of the projects executed for the scheme to include complete construction of nine hostels, multipurpose hall and the camp perimeter fence which collapsed two years ago due to the heavy rainfall.
The Governor urged all prospective corp members to take the lead in advocating for national development and transformation especially in the host communities.
Earlier, the State cordinator of the Scheme, Mr Kufre Umoren said a total of one thousand six hundred corp members were posted to the state and the scheme has so far received one thousand two hundred corp members comprising males and females, with mir expected before the orientation ends.
He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his unwavering support to the NYSC and assured that the corps members would continue to provide services where they are most needed especially in rural areas.
Administering the Oath of allegiance, the State Chief Judge, Justice Rabi Umar represented by Justice Baba Usman charged the corp members to maintain law and order towards a peaceful orientation exercise.
Highlights of event was thug of war competition and parade by the sworn in corp members.
