Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has advocated for inclusive governance, true federalism, equal opportunities and knowledge-driven policies to address Nigeria’s political, economic and developmental challenges.
the Governor who made the call at the North-East zonal stakeholders’ meeting of the Allied Peoples Movement APM held in Yola, Adamawa State capital, expressed confidence in the party’s potential to emerge as a major political force ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Bala Mohammed, who is the APM’s National Leader, commended APM National Chairman Yusuf Ɗantalle for providing a platform for political aspirations and highlighted the importance of inclusive leadership, effective governance and policies that promote national development.
The party’s presidential candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde challenged the Federal Government to publish its petroleum pricing template, insisting that Nigerians deserved transparency in fuel price determination and could propose alternative solutions to the country’s energy challenges.
Seyi Makinde identified insecurity, poverty, inadequate electricity supply and energy security as major national concerns, questioning why Chad and Niger Republic preferred alternative petroleum export routes through Cameroon and Benin Republic rather than relying on Nigeria.
He promised that, if elected in 2027, his administration would prioritise transparency, accountability, and national unity, proposing a transitional Government of National Unity with a maximum four-year tenure to promote inclusivity and address political concerns.

The meeting attracted party leaders, governorship candidates, and other stakeholders from across the North-East.
