Over two thousand local government staff across Bauchi state are participating in a two day sensitization workshop ahead of the 2025 promotion examination.
The staff drawn from the twenty local government areas of the state constitute those qualified and due for promotion to the next grade level.
The workshop organized by the Local Government Service Commission was aimed at equipping the participants with the requisite administrative knowledge for improved productivity.
Declaring the workshop open, Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Wabi said the promotion exercise followed the approval earlier granted by Governor Bala Mohammad to fill vacant positions existing in the service due to retirement.
Abubakar Wabi urged the affected personnel to use what they have learnt to achieve the desired objectives.
In a remark, the Commission’s Permanent Secretary Alhaji Kani Muhammad explained that the Government had invested huge resources towards the welfare of civil servants, hence the need for them to complement the gesture by being productive.
Muhammad further pledged the commission’s readiness to equip local government staff with necessary skills through training and retraining for effective and efficient service delivery.
