The Member representing Duguri/Gwana Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly ,Honourable Bala Abdullahi Dan has distributed relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons at Kashere.
The items has been distributed to the people of Duguri/Gwana who run as a result of banditry attack to their community.
The affected communities are now camped at the internationally Displaced persons camp at kashere Akko local Government Area of Gombe state.
The relief materials were presented as part of efforts to support families affected by displacement and to ease the hardship faced by the victims. Items distributed included foodstuffs and other essential household materials aimed at improving the living conditions of the displaced persons.
Speaking during the distribution, Honourable Bala Abdullahi Dan who was represented by Adamu Dimis said the gesture was part of his commitment to supporting vulnerable members of his constituency, especially those affected by difficult circumstances. He assured the displaced persons that more support would continue to come their way.
The lawmaker also assured the affected families on the effort of Bauchi state Government to ensure peace has return to the affected communities.
He theirfore called on well-meaning individuals, organizations and government agencies to complement efforts aimed at providing assistance to people affected by displacement.
On his part the leader of the Delegation Adamu Barde Gwana called on the Beneficiaries to utilize the gesture in an appropriate way.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Internally Displaced Persons Alhaji Ali Gwana expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for the timely intervention and prayed for continued support to help them rebuild their lives.
