Represented by the Senior Procurement Officer Alhaji Tukur Buba, the Managing Director disclosed that the NPA which is responsible for the maritime transport provides intervention in many sectors of the economy.

“as a responsible organisation, we have a corporate social responsibility to intervene in so many aspects of life in Nigeria including education, youth empowerment and many other things so the management deemed it imperative that they should intervene in an educational sector and they selected Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, he said”

He added, “they now saw that the trend is on ICT all over the world, gone are the days whereby you will go to a library and see heep of books, so they now felt that e-library would go a long way to uplift the standard of education of the students of this University.”

Also Speaking, the Vive Chancellor ATBU Professor Muhammadu Ahmad Abdulazeez who expressed joy for the intervention, charged the Directorate to transit from written to Computer Based Test.

” I was invigilating a JAMB exam and a student was ticking on the screen not knowing that he had to use the mouse, these are issues because he’s not exposed to the use of ICT; so with this I think the remedial directorate have advantage they can practice using the facilities,” he narrated.
