Bauchi TSC Promote over 4600 stagnated Teachers

Bauchi State Teachers Service Commission TSC has released the promotion of over four thousand six hundred teachers who have been stagnated over a decade.

The Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Musa Wadata stated this on his maiden Media briefing in Bauchi.

Alhaji Musa Wadata said a total of four thousand six hundred and forty teachers of which some had their promotion stagnated since 2008 have now been released as promised by the government.

He appealed to teachers to reciprocate the gesture through the delivery of quality education to students for the rapid development of the state.

Wadata also disclosed that the commission received reports of extortion by some unpatriotic people who collect huge amount of money and give fake employment letters even with the existing embargo on recruitment.

He advised people to be careful of falling into the hands of unsuspecting fraudsters in the name of recruitment and promotion.

According to Musa Wadata, the Commission is investigating the issue and  any of its teacher or staff involved in the job racketeering would be punished according to established laws.

The Chairman TSC said currently a comprehensive list is being compiled of teacher’s shortfall as a result of death, voluntarily withdrawal or transfer from services for onward submission to government for possible recruitment.

On the use of ICT for official duties, Alhaji Musa Wadata said the Commission received five computers from the State Ministry of Education and is currently working towards transition from analog to digital to conform with global standard.

He said even with the backlog of teachers promotion, lack of vehicles and depleted resources, the Commission from its inauguration on the nineteenth of November has addressed many problems affecting teachers in the state.
