Participants at an interactive session on the payroll administration in Bauchi state have advocated the need for timely completion of the ongoing workers verification exercise in the interest of the innocent victims.
They have also called on the committee and the consultants handling the exercise to make use of the observations made by relevant Stakeholders to avoid unnecessary complications in the process.
On of them, The Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs Abdurrazak Nuhu Zaki said it’s high time to explore all possible ways of ending the problem to avoid unnecessary blame on Government noting that government has good intention for conducting the exercise.
Also speaking the Chairman Alkaleri Local Government area Yusuf Garba who is the ALGON Chairman said all the local Government Chairmen has summited the nominal roll of their respective local councils in a bid to compliment the effort.
In his remark, the chairman, state cabinet Committee on new payroll administration and Commissioner of finance Umar Sanda Adamu attributed the slow face of the exercise to the careful approach adopted by the consultants in sanitizing the payroll.
According to him, the state Governor Bala Muhammad has directed the completion of the exercise before the end of March this year.
The occasion which featured presentation by the consultants handling the verification exercise has in attendance Commissioners, chairmen and education secretaries from all the twenty local governments as well as directors of Primary Health Care Centers.
